This is an extremely pretty acrostic 'DEAREST' ring. Crafted in a strong, 9ct Gold, it features (from within a beautifully deocrated gallery) 7 gemstones, comprising a diamond, 2 emeralds, an amethyst, ruby, sapphire and topaz. The first letter of each precious gemstone spells out the word, 'DEAREST'. The beautiful engraving on the band, and the pretty hearts on each shoulder add to the ornate details that really make this ring unique.
This very romantic vintage ring would have been a sentimental gift given to to a loved one as a token of affection, and to demonstrate that the giver held them as their 'dearest'. It is marked for 9ct Gold, London and the year, 1973
In fabulous condition, with just some age related wear you would expect from a ring of this age, it is currently a UK ring size N 1/2, which is a US size 7. It is re-sizable by your local jeweller, and it weighs 3.40g
